Kodak DC2x0 Digital Camera & Linux

gPhoto is a free source digital camera package that supports the DC200 and DC210, but I found that the support in 0.4.2 was extremely unreliable. timecop@japan.co.jp has improved gPhoto's support for the cameras, and you can get his patches at his website. He has also written an alternative command line interface. This stuff works well, allowing for gPhoto's own flakiness.

Another set of drivers, provided as a SDK library and a simple set of pre-written command line functions can be obtained from Tortuga Technologies. I've found this stuff to be pretty bomb-proof, and I've been using it to run a webcam quite successfully. It also provides better support for features such as the flash, but unfortunately it's not open source - aww.
